Sign In Issues

Can’t Sign In with Google

Problem: Unable to authenticate with your Google account

Solutions:

  • Make sure you’re using a Gmail account
  • Check that popups aren’t blocked in your browser
  • Try clearing your browser cache and cookies
  • Disable browser extensions temporarily
  • Try a different browser or incognito/private mode

Access Issues

Don’t See a Shared Property

Problem: Someone shared a property but you can’t see it

Solutions:

  • Make sure you signed in with the exact Gmail address the owner used to share
  • Ask the owner to verify they granted access
  • Check your “Shared With Me” section on the dashboard
  • Sign out and sign back in to refresh your session
  • Verify the owner completed the “Grant Access” process

Can’t Edit Something

Problem: Edit buttons are disabled or missing

Possible Causes:

  • Check your access level - you might be a Viewer (read-only)
  • Some actions are restricted to property owners only
  • The owner may have changed your permissions recently

What to do:

  • Ask the property owner to verify your access level
  • Request Manager access if you need to make changes

Data Issues

Missing Data

Problem: Information isn’t showing up

Solutions:

  • Refresh the page
  • Check your internet connection
  • Verify you’re looking at the correct property
  • Try signing out and back in
  • Check the Activity log to see if something was deleted

Changes Not Saving

Problem: Updates aren’t persisting

Solutions:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Look for error messages (usually at the top of the page)
  • Try the operation again
  • Refresh the page and verify the change
  • Try a different browser

Performance Issues

Page Loading Slowly

Problem: App is slow or unresponsive

Solutions:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Close other browser tabs
  • Clear browser cache
  • Try a different browser
  • Check if the issue persists on different pages

Specific Feature Issues

Can’t Delete Something

Possible reasons:

  • You don’t have owner permissions
  • Related data exists (e.g., can’t delete tenant with rent entries)
  • Your access level is Viewer or Manager (only Owners can delete properties)

What to do:

  • Contact the property owner
  • For tenants, mark as Inactive instead of deleting

Rent Entry Won’t Record

Common issues:

  • Missing required fields (amount, date, rent month)
  • Invalid date format
  • Tenant doesn’t exist or was deleted

Solutions:

  • Check all required fields are filled
  • Verify the tenant still exists
  • Ensure dates are in the correct format

Can’t Grant Access

Problem: Unable to share property with others

Possible causes:

  • You’re not the property owner (only owners can share)
  • Invalid email address
  • User is already listed

Solutions:

  • Verify you own the property
  • Double-check the email address is a valid Gmail
  • Check the Shared Access list for existing entries
