Create and manage your properties

Properties

Properties are the foundation of Popaty. Each property can contain multiple units, tenants, rent entries, and expenses.

Create a Property

1. Click “Add Property” from the dashboard
2. Fill in the required fields:
   • Name: Give your property a memorable name (e.g., “Sunrise Apartments”)
   • City: Where the property is located
   • Country: Select from the dropdown
   • Construction Year: Optional - when the building was built
3. Click “Create Property”

Your new property appears in “My Properties” on your dashboard.

View Property Details

Click any property card to see:

• Overview with property information
• Units (if you’ve added any)
• Tenants
• Rent entries
• Expenses
• Activity log (who did what and when)
• Shared access list (who can view/edit this property)

Edit a Property

1. Open the property
2. Click the “Edit” button (top-right)
3. Update any field
4. Click “Save Changes”

Delete a Property

1. Open the property
2. Click “Delete Property” button
3. Confirm the deletion in the dialog that appears

Warning: Deleting a property also deletes all its units, tenants, rent entries, and expenses. This cannot be undone.
