Learn the basics of using Popaty

Getting Started

Welcome to Popaty! This guide will help you get started with managing your properties.

Signing In

  1. Navigate to the Popaty application
  2. Click “Sign in with Google”
  3. Select your Google account
  4. Grant the necessary permissions

Note: You must use a Gmail account to sign in.

Dashboard Overview

After signing in, you’ll see your dashboard with two main sections:

My Properties

Properties you own and have full control over.

Shared With Me

Properties that others have shared with you (view or manage access).

Quick Actions

From the dashboard, you can:

  • Create a new property - Click the “New Property” button
  • View property details - Click on any property card
  • Access shared properties - Switch to the “Shared With Me” tab
  • Manage your profile - Click on your profile icon

Understanding Property Structure

Each property in Popaty follows this hierarchy:

Property → Units → Tenants → Rent & Expenses

  • Property: The building or complex you manage
  • Unit: Individual apartments, rooms, or spaces
  • Tenant: People renting the units
  • Rent/Expenses: Financial transactions for each tenant
